A receipt is a signed record of a submitted digest and witness time. Keep the complete response you received when it was issued. This page is free to read; opening it does not issue a receipt or charge you.
Have only a TAIN ID? You can view its public issuance record, but that record alone is not a signature check or a replacement for the original signed receipt.

The /v1/receipt/tain/ path is a metadata lookup. It does not verify the signature, exact payload, nonce, or predecessor link.
Check the signed receipt
Use the complete original JSON response, the original nonce, and either the exact payload bytes or the digest you expected. If the receipt links to a predecessor, keep that receipt too.
Run the 2.0 TypeScript verifier or 2.0 Python verifier with the published issuer keys. Check the key you trust, signature, digest, nonce, and predecessor before relying on the result.
Try a free saved example
The test-line bundle contains published signed evidence. Its Node verifier checks that specific saved bundle offline, without a wallet or payment. It is an example, not a browser verifier for arbitrary receipts. The human-readable checkpoint shows the sample's checkpoint time and age.
What a successful check means
A valid signature supports that the submitted digest was witnessed at the signed time under a trusted issuer key. A matching digest connects your local bytes to that commitment. These checks do not, by themselves, prove identity, permission, execution, delivery, or that a past time window is still open. Compare the witness interval with your own task rules before deciding STOP or PROCEED.
